The following proceedures will be followed in the event of a hurricane emergency.

Level 1 Alert

A hurricane of sufficient intensity as determined by the Commodore is forecast to strike the coast of Rhode Island in the next 72 hours.

Procedure:

1. Club Steward contacts top of phone tree and communicates with Commodore
   
2. Top phone tree tier call and notify all volunteers and assess availability
   

Level 2 Alert

A hurricane of sufficient intensity as determined by the Commodore is forecast to strike the coast of Rhode Island in the next 48 hours.

Procedure:

1. Contact phone tree a second time to establish meeting time within next 24 hours
2. All boats on club grounds to be removed by their owners
   

Level 3 Alert

A hurricane of sufficient intensity as determined by the Commodore is forecast to strike the coast of Rhode Island in the next 24 hours.

Procedure:

1. Club docks and dinghy floats are removed from the water
2. Remove canvas awnings from clubhouse
3. Lawn furniture removed and stored in basement
4. All immovable boats on property need to be secured
5. Launches are pulled from the water
6. All unmoved boats on club property to be lashed down
