Hardy and I enjoy sailing our Pacific Seacraft 31. Hull #11 was built for the previous owner in 1988. She is named, "American Flyer" after the toy train. She is, undoubtedly, our favorite toy.

For the pleasure of some excellent sailing and spectating, some diligent work each spring and fall proves worth it. Each summer weekend since 1988, Hardy, me, our 3 children and dog, commuted 70 minutes to Bristol Marine where we would climb into the dinghy, hop aboard our boat and sail around Narragansett Bay. The kids loved to explore. One thing we especially enjoyed doing was anchoring in Old Harbor for a week each summer. We biked, hiked , roller-bladed, boogie boarded, visited the zoo, fished and enjoyed family. We played card games and board games, went to the movies and read books. Our children are adults living away from us now. We love seeing them as often as their very busy lives accommodate.

Hardy and I bought a home Bristol in 2008 and post-tuition payments, a long commute, and ailing parents, we have enjoyed membership at BYC since July, 2013.
