About the event
At this TGIF dinner, guest speaker Bob Cembrola will discuss the discovery of the pirate ship Whydah, which sank on April 26, 1717, on Cape Cod. She was under the command of Samuel Bellamy of England, with his partner in crime, Paulsgrave Williams of Block Island. Prior to her capture by pirates, Whydah was a slave ship on her maiden voyage. Bob served as the first archaeologist on the project and conducted much of the early research. He will also briefly touch on Titanic and U-853, both of which he consulted on.
