IN BAY CRUISE WEEK - 2023
Cruise In Narragansett Bay with the Bristol Yacht Club!
Due to popular demand for a short-range cruise we have created a second week-long cruise that stays within Narragansett Bay. Join fellow BYC members on either a two-day cruise over Victory Day weekend or for the entire week. Overnights will be in Wickford, Newport, Dutch, East Greenwich and Kickemuit. Port activities such as potlucks or restaurant dinners are being planned. More information will be available in the coming weeks. Detailed information about the cruise is available in the BYC In-Bay Guide (Download). Contact: Steve Barron with any questions or for further information.
DEADLINE TO REGISTER: Friday, July 14 BUT......
Boaters planning to join the cruise are strongly encouraged to register and make mooring/slip reservations asap. This will allow the cruise organizers to plan ahead more effectively and ensure that everyone wanting a mooring/slip gets one. Thank you for your prompt registration.
REGISTER FOR THE CRUISE - A FOUR-STEP PROCESS:
Step 1: Review the BYC In-Bay Guide to familiarize yourself with all aspects of the cruise including ports of call, group meals, mooring/docking/anchoring options, and more. You can access the Cruise Guide here: Download
Step 2: Sign up for the cruise by completing the 2023 August In-Bay Cruise Registration Form. Please answer all the questions in the form. You can access Cruise Registration Form here.
Step 3: Pay your $30 cruise fee (one fee per boat) and for any group meals you plan to participate in which require pre-payment here. There is a breakfast in Wickford which is $10/boat, and a hamburger BBQ in Dutch Harbor which is $5/per hamburger. All costs for moorings will be handled via Dockwa by the individual boat owner. All other costs for dinners (Wickford, Newport & East Greenwich) will be paid for at the restaurant.
Step 4: Reserve moorings or slips via Dockwa for the Wickford, Newport, Dutch Harbor and East Greenwich legs of the cruise ASAP. These are the only locations on the cruise where prior reservations are required. Please mention that you are from BYC when making your reservations so the marinas know you are part of the BYC reservation block.
Moorings will be hopefully available at Oldport via Dockwa or First Come First Serve. They have been piloting Dockwa this year from May-July and if that goes well they will extend into August. Register via Dockwa for Oldport Marine Services and request to be waitlisted.
