Goal: To recognizes exceptional individual or team achievements of Bristol Yacht Club members in offshore racing and distance sailing.

• All current Bristol Yacht Club members, as defined in Article XVIII Section 1 of the Bylaws, are eligible to receive this award. 

• Anyone can nominate a person or a team to be considered for this award from late November (after the Annual Meeting) through September 1.

Review process for award:

• Award subcommittee (Race Chair, Fleet Captain, and Past Commodore) will review all nominations. They will bring a summary of all nominees and recommendations on a proposed winner or winners to the Executive Committee for a vote.

• Executive Committee will review the nominees and votes on proposed winners at the September Executive Committee meeting.

• Winners will be announced at the Annual Meeting on the third Sunday in November.

• Multiple nominees can win this award in a single year, as voted on by the Executive Committee. Additionally, a BYC member can be nominated for and/or receive this award multiple times.
