About the event
For decades, Ray Renaud has distinguished himself as an outstanding sailor and accomplished competitive sailboat racer, most remarkably in the grueling Bermuda One-Two Race where he has participated at least 12 times over a 34-year period, winning the single-handed leg 4 times, and the double-handed leg an additional 4 times. In addition, Ray has been a regular competitor at BYC's weekly Millard Racing Services and an eager participant in many Narragansett Bay and coastal RI inter-club or near-shore races. On Friday, May 9, the BYC Community will recognize Ray as the 2025 winner of the Enright Extraordinary Achievement in Offshore Sailing. Please join us for this event, which will include cocktails and dinner prior to a presentation recognizing Ray's many achievements in sailboat racing.
